Hello everyone out there in cyber space. As you may see I am posting directly to the website for the first time ever thanks to our super rad (rad is exactly what I think of them) website designers! I'm not sure it's a good thing allowing me to have an all access pass to speak what's on my mind without any immediate opposition but hey, it's here and I'm embracing it.
Let’s see, what has been going on around the farm. A lot, that's what's been going on! At last though the weather has finally started taking a turn towards cooler days and that's good news. Although I do have to say that I'm not fully convinced that we won't have a few upper 90 degree days in the near future. It never fails that just when you think you're coming out of it Mother Nature lets you know how much she doesn't care that you're sick of the long hot days. We desperately need some rain here on the farm since we seem to get passed over by most storms these days. The good news is that we just recently moved our cattle over to stockpiled summer grasses that have seemed to hold up fine and everybody is happy at this time. We’ll need a good bit more rain though if we're going to have much of a fall grass season. We're in the middle of getting the pastures cut and over seeded with fescue, ryes and clovers so that keeps my butt in a tractor seat for most of my days here recently. Earlier in the year we introduced two new bulls to the rotation here on the farm and I have to say that these are two very beautiful animals. Well they've been in service (that's what the kids are calling it these days) for nearly 3 month now and as of today we now play the waiting game to see how these guys did. It really is a nerve racking process wondering what your herd size is going to be the following year. It’s kind of a deal breaker if you're in the business of selling beef.
Let’s talk pork for a moment if you don't mind. We just processed our first run of pigs and WOW is all I can say. One, it's my first ever pig that I’ve raised myself and since I’ve been told that humans are hard wired for pork I now have my own so the excitement couldn't be any higher. Second, we couldn't be any happier with the quality. Seeing these guys run freely in the woods rooting around is just a site I can't explain. We will have plenty to sell here shortly and hope everyone is as excited as we are. I’m telling you though, it's good!
I’ve got more things to say but really need to get back at it. Hopefully with the new addition to the site you'll hear more from me.
Type at you later,
Roddy
Direct posting is not a good things and If you want to do then copy content to notepad or equivalent any other editor then copy from notepad then post date on site otherwise your website look and feel could be dirty . But my suggestion is for put data on website through admin control panel.
I like your content which is very informative about Mother Nature.
