Holiday Bourbon Meatballs


1 lb Greenbrier Farms Grass Fed Ground Beef

1 tbsp olive oil

1 egg, beaten

¼ cup unseasoned panko breadcrumbs

½ tbsp garlic powder

½ tbsp onion powder

¾ tsp kosher salt

½ tsp black pepper

  •  Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Combine meatball ingredients together by hand or with paddle element on mixer (do not overmix)
  • Portion into 1 oz balls
  • Bake meatballs on a greased cookie sheet for 20-25 minutes, turning once

Bourbon Glaze

½ cup ketchup

½ cup brown sugar

¼ cup bourbon

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp worsterchire sauce

½ tbsp black pepper

½ tbsp parsley (optional)

½ tsp garlic powder

  • Combine ingredients in a sauce pan, stir and simmer until the mixture is combined and the sugar has dissolved, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.


  • Transfer meatballs to a slow cooker, cover with glaze and cook on low for 1-2 hours before serving OR Set oven to 325 degrees and add meatballs to a roasting pan or 9 x 13 pan and pour glaze over the meatballs and bake covered for 30 minutes.
  • Garnish with chives.
