Grass Fed Beef Information

 

Our grass fed beef was the original animal that started the farm and has always been 100% grassfed from start to finish and still is to this day. We’ve run a closed herd for years and have built what has become a flavor specific to Greenbrier Farms. Our beef has a distinctive taste of our land that has been maintained to be able to forage a wide variety of fresh grasses and clovers. With different areas of the farm planted in grasses and other legumes that best suit the seasonal dietary needs of our cattle and our intensive grazing program, we’re able to feed the highest quality grass available nearly year round. When we do have to feed hay in the harshest of winter conditions, we use hay grown on our neighbor’s farm to assure that our cows receive the highest quality grass during those times as well.

Whole Beef: 

  • $3.20 per lb hanging weight (avg 525-625 lbs)
  • $.65 per lb hanging weight processing fee
  • $50.00 slaughter fee

Half Beef: 

  • $3.40 per lb hanging weight (avg 250-635 lbs)
  • $.65 per lb hanging weight processing fee
  • $25.00 slaughter fee
